Dear fellow international students, Since we are planning to visit the capital of China next week, I am writing this letter to introduce to you one of the most famous historical site in that city - the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City, also known as the Palace Museum or the Purple City, lies in the center of Beijing and once served as the imperial palace for 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is the world’s largest palace complex and covers some 80 hectares. When you visit it, it is advisable to bring with you your passport otherwise you are not permitted to go in. Since Forbidden City is a must-see for everyone, it is often flooded with tourists from all over the world, so you’d better take good care of all your belongings. Hope you can enjoy your trip then.
